Today was one of those “weren’t we JUST HERE?” moments when we walked through the gates of Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, a gigantic 212-acre farm that evolved from a simple pumpkin patch to a fantastic family destination with games, rides, delicious food, animals, tons of fun stuff. We look forward to it every year!
We spent most of the afternoon on the jumping pillow. Last year, Alice was too nervous to go on it by herself, but this year she was sprinting from one side to the other, sliding, jumping, tackling us. After the jumping pillow, we walked around with some kettle corn and looked at more animals—bunnies, goats, llamas. Alice only wanted tiny pumpkins, so Dave and I got one big one to carve together and then let her pick out a big armful of little gourds. Later we can dry them out so Alice can hear the seeds rattle!
